Year 3 update - 13th Nov

Another busy week! It was lovely to speak to so many of you on Tuesday. The class are now thoroughly enjoying our class reader, Danny the Champion of the World and I can see their reading skills and understanding improving rapidly. Thank you for listening to your child read at home, it makes an enormous difference to their life in school, don't forget to keep me updated on Seesaw. 

We made some beautiful watercolour poppies on Wednesday for Remembrance Day. I was amazed by the standard of work and the children have really started to apply a growth mindset to difficult tasks. 

Next week promises to be exciting as we begin a cooking unit of work in design & technology, focussing on healthy and seasonal foods, just like Danny uses in our class reader!
