Year 2 newbies

Our new Year 2's have been fabulous over the past couple of days; they've settled in well, helped me to decide up on some SMART class rules and started to think about having a growth mindset.

Today, we shared the story 'The Dot', the story is about a young girl named Vashti who doesn't believe that she's any good at drawing.  Eventually, with some help, she begins to see that with some encouragement and positivity she can produce a real masterpiece.  In English, we wrote our own encouraging sentences that we could use to stay positive and be encouraging of one another.
