Year 2 - week 2
Date: 19th Sep 2020 @ 12:01am
Unfortunately, I have been absent for most of this week however Mrs Brady has given me glowing reports about everyone in Y2.
The children have spent time in their topic work learning about what it means to be famous and learning a little about Florence Nightingale. In Science, they've been learning about how different animals reproduce, and did really well identifying animals that give birth to live babies and animals that lay eggs. The children discovered that some animals take a short time to form during pregnancy and others take much longer.
We will be continuing our work in these areas next week so remember to come back and check out our blogs to find out what we did next.
In celebration assembly, Barney very proudly brought in his Blue Peter badges - he earned these during the lockdown period through writing a poem and being creative .
Our superstar for this week was Luis, Mrs Eden thought that Luis had tried really hard all week, especially with his handwriting.
Mrs Brady had a very difficult decision to make this week when choosing our Christian Value winner, however she came to the conclusion that this weeks winner just had to be Amelia B! Amelia has persevered this week, she found the Maths work this week tricky to begin with but with practise, positivity and a lot of determination, she got it in the end!! What a fantastic attitude to have!
Well done to everyone in Y2, let's keep it up 🙂
