weekly update 6th November

It's been a great first week back at school in Year 6 and the children have enjoyed starting our Geography work on Extreme Earth.  Please take a look at the knowledge organiser on this page with your child as this will help to deepen their understanding, as well as embed knowledge.  We have been looking at climates around the world and interpreting line graph data.

In literacy we have been reading and writing poetry, and in maths we have started working with fractions.  Please encourage your child to spend some time on TT Rockstars practising their times table recall.

This week congratulations go to Katie and Thomas B.

Katie has achieved the Christian Value for friendship.  I have seen Katie helping a friend construct a line graph, I have seen her making others feel happy at playtime and she has been a great work partner to Ebad all week.

Thomas B has achieved the star this week for catching the reading bug!.  He is reading all the time in and out of school.
