Weekly update 2nd October

It's been a great week for writing in Year 6.  We have been improving our handwriting by practising joins and making sure our leters are the correct size.  We have also been writing from different character's point of view.  I have been impressed with vocabulary choices and use of clauses. 

We have finally come to the end of our History topic this week.  The children have gained so much knowledge and shared thoughtful opinions about how Benin Kingdom changed over time.  We're about to move onto African Art.

This week we congratulate Isabel for her thoughtful suggestions in our History lessons, and for making connections between World History and British History.  Isabel wins the star award.

We also congratulate Leo, who has the Christian Value award for his kind and encouraging words in P.E. sessions.  He demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship.
