Weekly update -2nd Oct

Good morning everyone! This week the children have impressed me with some fabulous setting descriptions in English! We have been using adjectives, powerful verbs and prepositions in our writing, as well as concentrating on correct punctuation. Our two main targets this half term are to improve our handwriting and to read as much as possible, so we have been spending extra time focussing on handwriting in our English sessions and we can see some big improvements. Today, we will finish our Science topic on light as we have spent a little bit of time looking at Growth Mindset this week, the children were really interested to hear how a positive mindset and self-belief can really help with learning.

Just a few reminders for the upcoming week: PE is on a Wednesday, everyone was in kit this week, well done! Please make sure your child has pumps in school for this day. Water bottles are needed every day as we can't use the water fountains at all at the moment. Finally toast money needs to be paid on a Friday  for the following week.
